Dr. Sangu Delle: Building Africa’s Healthcare and Tech Future with Purpose

Dr. Sangu Delle is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, lawyer, investor, author, and philanthropist. He is the CEO of CarePoint, a leading tech-enabled healthcare system across Africa, and Founder & Chairman of Golden Palm Investments (GPI), an investment holding company supporting top African startups like Andela, mPharma, and Flutterwave.

Born to a Ghanaian doctor and civil rights activist father and Egyptian mother, Sangu studied at Christ the King, Ghana International School, and earned a scholarship to Peddie School, New Jersey. He holds multiple degrees: BA (Harvard College), JD (Harvard Law), MBA (Harvard Business School), Master’s (Oxford), and PhD (University of Birmingham).  Inspired by global urbanisation trends, he started businesses in real estate, affordable housing, agriculture, and forex bureaus. Later, after gaining venture capital experience in the US, he pivoted to focus on technology and healthcare, founding GPI to back transformative African tech startups and establishing CarePoint to revolutionise healthcare delivery across the continent.

 He co-founded Cleanacwa, providing clean water to over 200,000 people in Ghana, and launched the Sangu Delle Foundation to focus on education, mental health, and job creation. He holds influential positions on boards including Ashesi University, Harvard Medical School’s Advisory Council, and Rhodes Scholarships for West Africa.

 Sangu wrote “Making Futures: Young Entrepreneurs in a Dynamic Africa,” shortlisted for the Financial Times / McKinsey Bracken Bower Prize. His lifelong vision is to build African prosperity through collaboration between Africans and African-Americans for shared success.
